Content license

We want DealDialect's guidance to reach as many exporters as possible. That is why most of our content is open for anyone to use, share and adapt, as long as you give credit.

The license

DealDialect content is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license (CC BY 4.0). In plain language, you may:

  • Share: copy and redistribute the material in any format.

  • Adapt: remix, translate, shorten or build on it.

  • Do both for any purpose, including commercial use.

Your one main obligation is attribution: credit DealDialect, link to the license and say if you made changes. You may not suggest that DealDialect endorses you or your use. This summary is not a substitute for the license itself.

What is covered

  • Market guides and quick cards.

  • Course lessons, check-yourself questions and tests.

  • Message and email templates.

  • Workshop kits: slides, facilitator notes, handouts and exercises.

  • Simulator scenarios.

What is not covered

  • The DealDialect name, logo and brand elements. You may say content is "from DealDialect," but you may not use the logo or name in a way that suggests a partnership or endorsement without written permission.

  • Software code. The site's code is not published and is not covered by this license.

  • Third-party content, such as photos, fonts, icons or quoted material, which stays under its owner's terms. We label these where they appear.

  • Any page or file marked with a different license.

How to give credit

Use this attribution line:

From DealDialect (dealdialect.com) by Ayomide Adeyeye, licensed CC BY 4.0.

If you changed the material, add a short note, for example:

Adapted from DealDialect (dealdialect.com), licensed CC BY 4.0. Changes: shortened and added local examples.

Put the credit where people will see it: on a title or closing slide, in a handout footer, or at the end of a web page. Link "CC BY 4.0" to the license text where you can.

Examples of allowed uses

  • A state trade office runs the workshop kit for local exporters, with the credit on the closing slide.

  • A trade consultant uses the kit in a paid training session, with attribution.

  • A university instructor adds a market guide chapter to a course reading pack.

  • An industry association translates a quick card for members and notes the change.

  • A business adapts a template for its own emails. No credit is needed inside a private business email, but credit is needed if you republish the template.

Note: Running a workshop with our kits? Tell us through the "Tell us you ran it" form. It helps us show impact and keep the content free.
